By booking with Sage and Belle Styling you are accepting the following terms and conditions.
DEFINITIONS & LAW
By Owner, we mean The Owner, Sage and Belle Styling
We will thus be referred to as The Owner.
‘We’ ‘Us’ and ‘Our’ means the Supplier of the Goods.
‘You or ‘Your’ means the Hirer of Goods.
‘Goods’ means all goods hired by us to you.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1) All equipment remains the property of The Owner.
2) During the period of hire, The Hirer shall be solely responsible for the hired goods and the cost of covering any damage or losses that might occur. Wedding Insurance may cover this, and it is up to The Hirer to check their policy. The Hirer is responsible for any costs not covered by insurance.
3) The Owner shall not be responsible for injury or damage to persons or property howsoever sustained arising from our goods under hire.
4) The contract for the hire of goods is between The Owner and the hirer, not the venue unless goods are being hired directly by the venue. It is the Hirers responsibility to ensure that the venue is clearly instructed so that the terms and conditions are met. The Owner will charge the Hirer for any costs due to terms and conditions being broken. It is then the responsibility of the Hirer to reclaim any of these costs from the venue if the venue was at fault.
5) A Refundable Security Deposit of £50 is payable in addition to the hire charges, to cover shortages and damages to hired goods. Your booking deposit becomes your security deposit after full payment is received. It is not deducted from the final payment when due prior to the event. This may be waived for corporate bookings who will be invoiced for the replacement cost of any missing or damaged items.
6) Shortages and damages to hired goods will be charged at full replacement value inclusive of VAT and delivery to The Owner. No substitute item will be accepted by The Owner.
7) The Owner will inform The Hirer within 5 working days, in writing of any damages and costs concerning any of the Hired Goods. An invoice will be sent outlining amount of damage and costs exceeding the Security Deposit. Consumable items such as foliage, flowers, candles, feathers, stationery etc. will not be charged for.
8) The Security Deposit, minus any deductions for loss or damage will be returned to the Hirer within 30 days of Hire date.
9) Final hire numbers are due 1 month before the event date. Once given, they can be increased, but not decreased. This term will be waived in the event of the government restricting numbers allowed at weddings due to Covid type events.
10) Final payment of the full hire balance is due 1 month before the event date, unless otherwise stated, and is calculated based on the final hire numbers provided. The security deposit is not deducted from the final amount due – it is retained to cover any cost that may arise as detailed above.
11) For DIY bookings the Hirer shall inspect the goods and inform the Owner of any shortages immediately so replacements can be arranged.
11a) Charges will be made for any goods left or returned in plastic bags and not in their original packaging.
11c) If you are hiring table runners or swags, please ensure that candles are not placed on or near these items unless they are non-drip. Charges will be made to replace items that are covered or damaged by candle wax or candle burns.
12) Goods that are to be collected and returned by the hirer on a DIY basis must be collected and returned to the agreed office on the agreed dates otherwise The Owner retains the right to charge for:
12a) The cost of replacement goods to honour any bookings where the goods are required.
12b) The cost of replacement goods where hired items are permanently not returned.
12c) An additional hire period, charged at the cost of hire per item per week or part week. E.G. If 50 drapes have been hired at £3.50 each, the additional weekly / part weekly charge will be £3.50 x 50 = £175 per week or part week. Prices are example only.
13) Charges will be made for any damaged goods including goods that have been dragged on the floor, ground in earth stains, burns, holes, rips and tears, candle wax, grease or deep staining, including permanent food stains that cannot be removed with laundering and treatment. Additional charges may be made if extra stain treating and washing is required.
14) All replacement goods will be charged at the cost of goods including VAT and delivery.
15) Damaged goods remain the property of The Owner.
16) Postponements – if you need to postpone your wedding for any reason, then we are happy to move your booking to the new date, provided we are available. No additional payment will be required for bookings that are moved, and any monies paid prior to postponing will be transferred to the new date. We may add an uplift for annual price increases if you move to a different year.
17) If we are unable to accommodate your new date due to an existing booking, then all monies paid will be refunded with the exception of the booking fee. This will be retained to cover the cost of time spent planning your wedding, emails, quotes, phone calls, sourcing items, researching ideas, meetings etc.
18) Booking with us does not contract you to items on your initial quote. This is just a price guide and final items hired will be confirmed prior to the wedding and the final payment will be based on this. Minimum spend requirements must be met as listed in the FAQs on our website.
19) If you choose to cancel your wedding completely, then this will result in the charges as listed below:
Cancellation 180 days+ before the wedding date: Booking deposit only to help cover time as stated in clause 17.
Cancellation 120 – 179 days before the wedding date: 25% of the total quote (booking fee)
Cancellation 90-119 days before the wedding date: 50% of the total quote (including any monies paid)
Cancellation 30-89 days before the wedding date: 75% of the total quote (including any monies paid)
Cancellation up to 29 days before the wedding date: 100% of the total quote (including any monies paid)
If we believe you have asked us to reduce your quote before cancelling in order to minimise losses, then the value of the previous quote will apply.
We strongly recommend taking out independent wedding insurance to cover any costs incurred due to cancellation.
